This woman's an idiot. What did she think was going to happen? Not only is it so incredibly offensive to park in a handicap spot when you're not handicap, but in this situation it's so personal. She knows that her neighbor is handicapped, but she doesn't care. She deserved to have her car towed.

Entitled neighbor keeps parking in disabled woman’s handicap spot, she gets her car towed but blows up on the disabled neighbor: “We had to go through hoops and hurdles to get that spot in front of our home”
It's important to always try to maintain good relations with roommates, neighbors, and the like. You never know how it could bite you in the back if you don't have common decency towards others. You may think that nothing will happen, that you're in control and in power, but at the end of the day other people can greatly affect your life. If you ruin ties between your roommate, they don't have to respect you or your peace anymore. They could play loud music, have friends over, or just not clean their mess, and ultimately you can't force them to do anything. A neighbor could do the same. Just because you have separate spaces doesn't mean that they can't affect your day-to-day. They could also play loud music, or worse. They could even try to get the neighborhood watch on you if you're not careful.
In the story below, the protagonist's mother is disabled and they went through twists and turns to get her a designated handicap spot in front of their home. Their neighbor thinks it doesn't matter though, and even though she's not handicapped, she is parking there anyway. That is until she gets her car towed.
